Landon Pigg will make his feature-film debut in Drew Barrymore's directorial debut Whip It! Landon plays a city musician who becomes romantically involved with the heroine, played by Juno's Ellen Page.

The film is set to open wide on October 9, and will also star Marcia Gay Harden, Juliette Lewis and Jimmy Fallon.

Landon recently recorded a version of the Beatles song, “Nowhere Man” which is featured in the film “Imagine That.” The movie opens in theatres this Friday, June 12th. The song also appears on the soundtrack. You can listen to samples of and purchase the soundtrack here:

Landon Pigg is one of several high-profile artists confirmed to perform at ASCAP's Music Café during the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, taking place January 15-25, 2009, in Park City, Utah.

Landon, who is scheduled to play on Friday, January 23rd, at 2:40pm, will join fellow performers Damien Rice, John Rzeznik (of the Goo Goo Dolls), Gin Blossoms, Sara Watkins, Rachael Yamagata, and many more, over the course of an eight-day program showcasing songwriters and composers associated with films being shown at the Festival.
